Setting Children Up for Success

Help provide school uniforms, shoes, stationery and other essentials to local children this summer.

Our Summer campaign plays a vital role in supporting families by providing children with the essential items they need for starting school. By helping to ease the financial pressure many households face, we can ensure that every child begins the new school year feeling confident, prepared, and ready to learn.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families and give children the best possible start.

School Uniform

We repeatedly hear from families that the move from nursery to school brings financial pressure, with school uniforms often being one of the biggest challenges.

For larger families, or children with additional support needs who require sensory-friendly clothing, these costs quickly add up. One parent told us, "We have gone through 12 polo shirts in the last school year."

When funding allows, we help families access school uniforms so every child can start the school year feeling comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

Keeping Kids Entertained

Every summer, we hear from families desperately looking for affordable activities to keep their children engaged during the school holidays.

Families tell us that without PEEK, their children would be "sitting at home", "stuck on a screen", or "struggling to find things to do". For many children, our holiday programmes provide fun, friendship, adventure, and somewhere to belong.

With more funding, we can create more opportunities for children to enjoy an active, happy, and memorable summer through experiences and trips.

Feeding Families

School holidays can place enormous pressure on family budgets. We hear from parents and carers who are struggling to put enough food on the table, particularly those with more than one child or those relying on free school meals during term time.

Families tell us they are often forced to make impossible choices between heating their home and buying food. Access to healthy, nutritious food is becoming increasingly difficult as costs continue to rise.

That's why food provision is a vital part of every PEEK holiday programme. One parent told us, "Thank you for this food, now I can fill their tummies with healthy, nutritious food that will help them to grow."

Collect items: Organise a collection of new items, white shirts, blue shirts, school bags, and stationery.

Donate: We can purchase items on your behalf through financial contributions, which help us provide new, high-quality school items, food and experiences for families this summer.
